Our Purpose Kelly Genzlinger, C.N.C., C.M.T.A (Certified
Nutritional Consultant, Certified Weight Management Counselor, and Certified Metabolic Typing Advisor) is a Holistic Food
Therapist / Holistic Nutritionist and founded Food Therapeutics in order to offer food therapy, weight management
counseling and nutritional consulting. These services are meant to provide personalized
and specific advice about improving your wellness with the intent to teach important lessons about listening to your body
and learning how to interpret what it can tell you, with focus on raising your nutrient-density-consciousness.
The basis of all recommendations is natural, whole, real food. As part of the Leadership
Team for Healthy Traditions Network, the local chapter of the amazing Weston A. Price Foundation nutrition
organization, Kelly follows these philosophies and principles which include real, whole, traditional food selection
and preparation. Food Therapeutics can be a major part of your path to optimal health and well-being.
The Standard American Diet is "S.A.D.", unfortunately. Our disease statistics
are on the rise, and we are eating too many processed foods made with fake ingredients. Our philosophy holds that the
best way to improve food choices includes switching to real food, as it is provided by Nature, with minimal processing and
manipulation by manufacturers. Our food suggestions will always point to the most natural alternatives, considering
sources, macronutrient ratios, ingredients, and food preparation.
Frequently Asked Questions: What is Holistic Nutrition? How is it different than conventional dietary
recommendations?
Holistic Nutrition is food-related advice, and fundamentally considers returning to a natural, traditional
way of eating and preparing food. The philosophies are based on real, whole food - grown and raised in a way that obeys
natures laws - nutrient-richness and availability are forefront. This is very different than commercial and conventional
advice given today regarding as its basis: prescription drugs, processed foods, refined grain, sugar, and low-fat recommendations,
supporting the Food Pyramid.

Kelly has provided an amazing amount of interesting and
eye-opening information on nutrition and exercise which has dramatically changed my life. I feel leaner and stronger
at age 52 than I have at any time in my life by following her advice and direction. My whole household has been postivively
affected by changing the way we purchase, prepare, and consume food. J.I. ~ Troy, MI

Kelly Genzlinger has been like a "personal"
nutritionist for me for many months. She has gien me guidance on food and its nutrional value that has benefited my weight
and basic health needs. What I like about Kelly is that she "encourages" you without discouraging you.
Her energetic messages have helped me to get on the right track for my health and help motivate me to take good nutritional
care of my body. She gives you stores/places within your neighborhood to buy good, wholesome food and at a reasonable
price, referes you to good articles (books, magazines and authors) wher eyou can get the "experts" opinions.
With Kelly's enthusiasm and encouragement it is hard to NOT stay on the right track for living longer and protecting your
body. I hope that Kelly continues on her path as an advocate and nuritionist for good foods and good health, and motivates
others as she has for me. W.C. ~ Troy, MI

Kelly
has a genuine concern for other peoples well-being. She has provided me with a great amount of nutritional insight in
just a few short hours. The time we spent was very insightful and interesting because there was so much passion behind
the knowledge that she was sharing. When she first started helping me, I was experiencing some depression. I knew
that my diet probably had a lot with it, but I just didn't have the motivation to do anything about it. Knowing
that some people need to start off by taking baby steps, Kelly recommended just three simple things for me to change.
I just had to try 3 things that were extremely easy to do, and guess what? They worked! They made a huge difference
in boosting my energy level, enhancing my ability to concentrate and maintaining my emotional balance. To this day (10
months later), I still do all three and I feel great!
Kelly has also inspried me to do some research on my own.
Two books that she recommended were a tremendous amount of help and explained why the three habits mentioned above are so
effective. I look forward to trying more of her suggestions because I am convinced that they work.
Kelly
is the most determined and disciplined person that I know when it comes to her diet. Without doing anything else intentionally,
she motivates me to eat well because I see how happy and healthy she is. I would recommend her to anyone that is interested
in learning more about taking care of their body, whether it is mentally, physically, or emotionally. If you just want
to take baby steps, she will have something easy for you that will make a big difference. If you want to go full
boar, she will surely lead you in the right direction. Good luck!
L.M. ~ Huntington Woods
